On where he at regarding the quarterback situation…
We're going to evaluate it this week with those two guys in the room, Brandon Rose and Isaac Wilson. They're taking the reps this week and we'll see where we go from there.
On if successful field goal tries would've changed his decision-making on Saturday at quarterback…
That's tough to say. If those field goals would've went in, would Houston have done something different? It's impossible to go back and try to piece it together.
On the struggles on the offensive line…
A lot of the time, holding the ball too long. That's part of it. When you look at some metrics of Pro Football Focus, they say we have the most efficient offensive line in the conference. I don't know how you measure it all exactly, but I know we're getting some really good play out of some guys, particularly those tackles, Caleb and Spencer. We just have to keep coaching, keep working. The offensive line has been a little bit up and down, but mostly up this year.
On pinpointing where the team has struggled…
This past game, we didn't run the ball well enough. We didn't defend the run well enough. We lost the turnover margin again, which has been a theme this year. We left some points out there by missing a couple field goals, so there's a combination of four or five things that we didn't do as well as we could have.
On how the bye week helps coach Bajakian and his plan for the offense…
It gives him a little bit of time. Last week was such a crunch that there wasn't much of an opportunity to tweak things or put his stamp on it. With the bye week, you have a little more opportunity to do that.
On players taking advantage of expanded roles on Saturday…
Jaylon [Glover] played very well. He made the most of his carries. He didn't get a ton of carries, but he created some good gains and he had a good practice today as well.
