SALT LAKE CITY – After the University of Utah dive team wrapped up in Austin, the swim program is aiming to divide and conquer heading into their midseason invitational-- one half of the team is onto Texas A&M for the three-day Art Adamson Invitational, while the other half is heading back to Grand Junction, Colo. for the four-day Colorado Mesa Invitational, competition for both starts Wednesday.
"'These are going to be some great meets for our program," said head coach
Jonas Persson. "We have been training really hard and we are well prepared to race fast and compete well."
The Utes and the Aggies met at this same invite last year, with the Utes ending day three with two U.S. Olympic Trail cuts, five NCAA B-cuts, three broke school records and a top time in the country. Along with A&M, the Utes will also be facing-off with Washington State, Incarnate Word, Air Force, and conference foe, TCU.
