Utes in the Pros: Week 12

SALT LAKE CITY – With several teams on byes, Week 12 of the NFL regular season will be a little quieter for Pro Utes throughout the league. Twelve Utah Football alumni are projected to see game action this weekend, with five more active rostered players on bye and 27 total former Utes on teams.
It continues to be a strong year overall for NFL teams with Utah ties; six division-leading squads have at least one former Ute on the roster or coaching staff.

Week 12 Viewing Guide (players on active rosters)
Bye this week: Atlanta (Clark Phillips III), Buffalo (Cole Bishop, Dalton Kincaid), Jacksonville (Devin Lloyd), New Orleans (Nephi Sewell)
The Pro Utes total grew by one this week as the Steelers signed safety Eric Rowe to the team's practice squad. The two-time Super Bowl Champion with the Patriots has appeared in 103 NFL games, including three with Pittsburgh during the 2023 season. Rowe was a four-year starter with the Utes during the program's early Pac-12 era, twice being named All-Conference and earning Freshman All-America in 2011. He went on to be drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Linebacker Nephi Sewell made his season debut with New Orleans in Week 11 after being activated from the physically unable to perform list.
Though the Chiefs' undefeated run came to an end this past weekend, Kansas City is still tied for the NFL's best record at 9-1 with Alex Whittingham serving as defensive quality control coach. Over in the NFC, Brian Johnson continues as Washington's assistant head coach and offensive passing game coordinator; the Commanders are second in the East with a 7-4 record.
