Utes in the Pros: Week 13

SALT LAKE CITY – The holiday season kicks off with Thanksgiving this Thursday, and three Pro Utes will be featured in the early timeslot as Jaylon Johnson, Tim Patrick and Sione Vaki are all expected to suit up in the Chicago-Detroit game from Ford Field.
Altogether, Week 13 of the NFL season sees 18 Utah Football alumni on active rosters and 27 former Utes on teams throughout the league.
How to watch the Utes this week
Week 13 Viewing Guide (players on active rosters)
Wide receiver and return specialist Britain Covey returned to game action last week as he was activated off IR by the Eagles. He returned one punt and fair caught two others, while also playing three snaps on offense.
Entering Week 13, all four NFC division leaders have at least one Utah tie; in the North both Tim Patrick and Sione Vaki are part of the 10-1 Lions squad that is winners of nine straight. Covey's Eagles are 9-2 to lead the NFC East, while Clark Phillips III and the Atlanta Falcons (6-5) have a one game lead in the NFC South. Out west, rookie Sataoa Laumea and the Seahawks are 6-5, tied with Arizona for the top spot. Back in the AFC, Buffalo (9-2) leads the AFC East with Cole Bishop and Dalton Kincaid helping the Bills to six straight wins.
Two more former Utes are in the NFL coaching world. Alex Whittingham is the Kansas City Chiefs' defensive quality control coach while Brian Johnson is with Washington as the Commanders' assistant head coach and offensive passing game coordinator. If the playoffs started today, the Chiefs would have the No. 1 seed in the AFC while Washington would also have a postseason berth.
