Spencer Fano Named A Finalist For Polynesian College Football Player of the Year

HONOLULU – University of Utah Football offensive lineman Spencer Fano has been named a finalist for the 2024 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, announced today by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.
Fano is one of six finalists and one of two offensive linemen on the list, joining players from Arizona State, Tennessee, Arizona, Ohio State and Oregon. Fano has also earned postseason recognition as an All-American, being named to the PFF first-team.
Fano, who started all 12 games in 2024 at right tackle, was a first-team All-Big 12 selection after another standout performance on the line. According to PFF, his 91.8 run-blocking grade is more than three points better than any other offensive tackle in college football with his pass protection of 80.3 also being near the top – not allowing a single sack since the first week of the season.
A true sophomore, Fano has played in 25 career games with 24 starts (13 at RT, 11 at LT). His PFF All-America honor in 2024 is the second of his career, also earning CFN Freshman All-America first-team in 2023.
