Utes in the Pros: Week 14

SALT LAKE CITY – Playoff berths are starting to be clinched, a sign that the NFL's regular season is on the home stretch.
With Week 14 about to kick off, a total of 12 Utah Football alumni will be in action on active rosters and 27 Pro Utes are on teams throughout the league.
Rookie safety Cole Bishop and second-year tight end Dalton Kincaid enjoyed an early ticket-punch to the playoffs last week as the Buffalo Bills clinched the AFC East, now with a 10-2 record and winners in seven straight games. Though Philadelphia has not yet clinched a playoff berth, Britain Covey and the Eagles sit atop the NFC East with a 10-2 record.

Bye this week: Baltimore (Marcus Williams); Denver (Cody Barton, Garett Bolles, Jonah Elliss, Devaughn Vele); Indianapolis (Julian Blackmon, Matt Gay)
Including Philadelphia, all four NFC division leaders have at least one Pro Ute on their active roster. Detroit (11-1) is up a game on Minnesota with Tim Patrick and Sione Vaki making plays, while the Falcons (6-6) are tied for the top spot in the South with Clark Phillips III earning time on defense. Out West, offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea made his first career start for Seattle last Sunday and helped the division-leading Seahawks to a road win against the Jets.
There are, of course, two more former Utes guiding NFL teams on the sidelines. Alex Whittingham is serving as the Kansas City Chiefs' defensive quality control coach; the Chiefs are 11-1 and have the AFC's best record. In Washington, Brian Johnson is the assistant head coach and offensive pass game coordinator for the Commanders, who would make the playoffs if the postseason were to start today.
