SEATTLE – The Utah track & field team closed out the Husky Classic on a high note setting a new top-10 mark, a top-5 finish and a pair of new PRs inside Dempsey Indoor on Saturday.
Emily Martin kicked off the day for the Women of Utah in the 400m dash – her first time in this event indoors. The sophomore would run a 56.67 to take fourth-overall in the fastest section of the day.
Freshman
Grace Moroney not set a new PR in the mile shortly after, but also posted a top-10 mark when she crossed the finish line at 4:49.85. Fellow freshman
Kyla Martin wasn't too far behind, checking in with a mark of 4:50.19.
The 800m crew of
Bri Rinn and
Millie Wilcox closed out the day with a pair of top-25 finishes. Rinn was the top finisher for Utah with a time of 2:07.97 for 11th-overall while Wilcox came in at 2:11.04 for 23rd-overall for a new personal best.

The distance crew will get a little break next week as the track squad heads to the Midwest for the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday, Feb. 16, inside the Randal Tyson Track Center.
