SAN DIEGO – The Utah track & field team secured five top-10 finishes in the first full day of competition at the Aztec Invitational on Friday at the SDSU Sports Deck.

Kylie Hartnett opened things up on the track for Utah, taking fourth in the 5000m race with a time of 17:04.23.

In the 1500m race,
Bri Rinn crushed her previous PR with a final time of 4:23.60 for second-overall.
Vero Boire made her collegiate outdoor debut with a seventh-place finishing after crossing the finish line at 4:33.47.
Ellie Lundgreen was the third Ute with a top-10 finish in the race after she clocked in at 4:34.33 for eighth-overall.
Maddie Reed was just behind Lundgreen and narrowly missed at top-10 finish with her mark of 4:35.57 while
Millie Wilcox came in at 4:41.13 to close out the group of Utes in the race.

Rachel Bair, like the many other freshmen, made her outdoor debut in the heptathlon on Thursday and closed out the event on Friday with 4291 points for eighth-overall. Her best finish in the multi-event was the 800m where she took third with a run of 2:27.55. Bair also registered another top-5 finish in the 200m dash, taking fourth with a mark of 24.94. The freshman also picked up a top-10 mark in the long jump, leaping a distance of 5.02m (16-5.75) for ninth in the event.

The second and final day of the Aztec Invitational will start up tomorrow beginning with the 4x100m relay at 1 p.m. (MDT) while the long jump gets going at 11:30 a.m.
