FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Utah track & field's quartet of
Erin Vringer,
Bri Rinn,
Josefine Eriksen and
Harley Daniel all advanced to the quarterfinals of their respective events on Thursday in the NCAA West Regionals held at John McDonnell Field.

The 1500m crew of Vringer, Rinn and
Kyla Martin got the Women of Utah going on Thursday. Vringer earned an automatic spot in Saturday's quarterfinals after finishing fifth in her heat with a mark of 4:19.93 while Martin finished at 4:31.83. Rinn snuck in with the final time qualifying spot in the very next heat after posting a run of 4:22.03 to join Vringer in the quarterfinals.

Eriksen and
Brooke Manson followed not too long after in the 800m race with Eriksen winning her heat with a run of 2:07.08 to move onto the quarterfinals of her event. Meanwhile, Manson closed out her collegiate career with a run of 2:11.21.

Daniel was 1-of-6 runners in the 400m hurdles to post a new PB mark, crossing the finish line at 57.49 (57.483) to move into second all-time at Utah and moved onto the quarterfinals as well.
Ally Gomm just missed out on a qualifying spot after posting a run of 59.22.

Clara Mayfield ran a strong 10k, sticking with the middle of the pack for most of the race before kicking things into gear in the final 1000m. The graduate transfer continued to improve her splits down the stretch – including the third-fastest split in the final 400m with a mark of 1:14.57 before crossing the finish line at 34:58.27.

As of right now, barring any changes based on weather patterns, Vringer and Rinn will kick off competition on Saturday for Utah beginning at 4:15 p.m. (MDT) in the 1500m quarterfinals on SEC Network+. There will be a short break before Eriksen takes the track in the 800m at 6:05 p.m. followed by Daniel in the 400m hurdles. Utah's 5k crew of Katarzyna Nowakowsa and
Lindsey Peters will then race at 7:10 p.m. before the 4x400m relay team closes out the NCAA West Regionals at 7:45 p.m.
