Senior Tight End Caleb Lohner On his first football game…
"It was awesome. It was everything I expected and more. It was an awesome win—fun to see the team out there. For me, it was fun to see how the game operates, how the pregame works, how the process of the game works. But it was awesome. It makes me excited for our next opponent."
On facing his former school, albeit in a different sport…
"I don't think it's as weird because I didn't spend any time with the football program there. But I treat every game the same. We're going to prepare the same, and be locked into the playbook the same. At the end of the day, we want to win. We're going to bring it. We know this Baylor team is a good team. They're a little bit different than what we faced last Thursday and so we know it's a challenge. We're up for it."
 On his first touchdown…
"It felt great. The best part of it all was celebrating with my teammates. I genuinely believe that I'm part of the best team and tight end room, with all the support I've gotten the last few months. That was the best part."
On being part of this particular TE room…
"All the tight ends have been great leaders for me. Brant Kuithe especially; he's been around, he's seen the game, been here a while. He knows how everything works. There's been certain instances where he's taken me under his wing a bit and helped me walk through the process of what all this looks like. The best tight end room in the country, and they've taken great care of me and helped me learn."
Sophomore Running Back Dijon Stanley On his performance Thursday…
"(I appreciated) the opportunity to get on the field…Roles emerge and I'm happy to get the ball and make plays."
How did last year help you prepare?
"I feel like last year helped me prepare very well, because I was on scout team against one of the best defenses in the nation. For real. It was me against the best."
 On his first touchdown…
"It felt very nice. I just needed to make sure I caught the ball. The ones where you're super wide open are the hardest ones to catch. After I caught it, it was smooth sailing to the end zone. I'm sorry for the unsportsmanlike (penalty); it was my first touchdown and I didn't know I couldn't spin the ball. I apologized to Coach Whitt for that. Other than that it was excellent."
Senior Quarterback Cameron Rising On what Thursday was like…
"It was a good day. Coach [Ludwig] made it easy for me and the offense just killed it and I just had to put the ball in the right spot and they handled the rest."
On what he's seen from Baylor…
"I think they're a very sound football team and I think they're going to be more-so improved this year, especially having so many returning starters. I know its going to be a good game, we just have to be ready to go for whatever they bring at us."
On how he feels and what it was like throwing to Brant Kuithe again…
"Excited. I love seeing Brant score like that. It's not something you ever really dream of, making a guy score three touchdowns, but he manhandled about four guys on one play and just made it happen himself. [He's] a phenomenal player, I just love throwing him the ball and watching him go and its definitely going to be a better opponent this week, so we're going to have to come a little bit better and make sure we're doing everything at a high level."
Senior Tight End Brant Kuithe On what it felt like to be back on the field on Thursday…
"It feels good. Just the start, but we have a big challenge up ahead this week and just getting ready for that."
On what sticks out about Baylor as an opponent…
"We only have one game on, but their head coach is calling the defensive plays now. It's going to be a lot different. We just expect a challenge and we're ready for it. We have to prepare the right way this week and get ready to go."
On his thoughts on Dijon Stanley's performance on Thursday…
"He's the fastest guy on the team and he can catch them. If we personnel the right way and make up plays, he'll be running free just like he did this past Thursday every single game."
Freshman Cornerback Cameron Calhoun On how he's feeling…
"I'm feeling good, feeling good to be back. It's nice."
On the hardest part of getting back to feeling game ready…
"I'd say the hardest part is probably making sure you're getting the steps down, making sure where you are is better than where you were at. That's probably the hardest part I would say right now."
On how comfortable he feels in this defense…
"I'm never really comfortable with where I'm at, but I'd say right now, it feels good just to be back in the mix, back practicing with the team and I'm feeling fired up about this week."
