LONG AWAITED
With Utah and BYU back in the same conference, Utah's win over their bitter in-state rivals made it two-straight for the first time since winning three-consecutive from 2013-15. Utah's win in the first of two conference games this season gave the Runnin' Utes their first victory over BYU in a conference match-up since Jan. 27, 2009, in Salt Lake City – a 94-88 affair in favor of the Utes in OT coincidentally.
UP NEXT
Utah returns home to the friendly confines of the Jon M. Huntsman Center where it is currently 10-2 to play host to a pair of games. First up for the Runnin' Utes will be the Baylor Bears on Saturday, Jan. 25, starting at 2:30 on ESPN2. Dave Flemming will have the action on national TV alongside former Bruin Sean Farnham as Utah looks to avenge its Big 12 opener against the Bears.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Utes will stay at home and wrap up its two-game homestand with Cincinnati on Tuesday, Jan. 28, with a late 8 p.m. (MST) inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Rich Waltz will guide fans through the action with former Virginia head coach Pete Gillen serving as the analyst on the CBS Sports Network broadcast.
