INDIANAPOLIS – The 22nd-ranked Utah cross country team will head to Columbia, Mo., next week for its eighth-ever appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships after earning an at-large berth on Selection Saturday.
It marks the fifth-straight year the Women of Utah have qualified for the NCAA Championships while head coach
Kyle Kepler has led the Utes to all eight championship appearances in program history. Utah has now earned seven at-large berths to the championships (2015, 2016, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025) with the exception of 2022 when it earned an automatic qualifying spot after placing second at the mountain regional held in Albuquerque, N.M.
The Utes return to the NCAA Championships with a mix of depth and experience in
Erin Vringer,
Annastasia Peters and Lindsey Peter's from last year's squad that competed at the championships.
Kyla Martin rejoins the fray after sitting out last cross country season and was a part of the 2023 championships squad. Those four are joined by
Josie Fale,
Bri Rinn and
Millie Wilcox – who will be making their debut at the NCAA Championships and is joined by freshman
Emily Junginger.
Anna [Peters] will be making her third-consecutive NCAA Championships appearance having earned All-America honors her freshman season and just missing out on it as a sophomore. Vringer is also making her third appearance in four years after sitting out the 2023 campaign while Martin and Lindsey [Peters] are making their second appearances as a Ute.
The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will once again
air live on ESPNU when the teams toe the line and vie for the coveted championship at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Saturday, Nov. 22, beginning at 8:20 a.m. (MDT) / 10:20 a.m. (EDT).
