SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team hits the road, this time for its first true road game against a familiar foe in the California Golden Bears on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Roxy Bernstein will have the action on ACC Network Extra for fans alongside former Cal head coach Ben Braun as the Runnin' Utes visit Haas Pavilion for the first time since Dec. 29, 2022, and look to keep their six-game winning-streak against the Golden Bears alive.

BACK IN THE BAY
Utah and Cal are set to face off for the first time since both programs departed the Pac-12 Conference. Current Golden Bears head coach Mark Madsen is 0-1 against Utah – falling to the Utes in his first season 88-59 on March 2, 2024, in his first season at the helm. Utah is 7-9 all-time against Cal inside Haas Pavilion but has won three-straight there with its last loss in Berkeley on Feb. 29, 2020, in overtime – 86-79.

DOWN GOES THE REBELS
Utah's win over Ole Miss in its final game at the Acrisure Series gave the Utes their first win over an SEC team since Dec. 18, 2019, when they defeated #6/6 Kentucky 69-66 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Utah had gone 0-3 against SEC teams before taking down the Rebels with losses vs. Mississippi State and at Missouri.

The win over Ole Miss was also Utah's first win over a Power 4 team in a non-conference match-up since defeating Iowa at home on March 24, 2024, in the second round of the NIT 91-82.

DYNAMIC DUO
Utah's duo of
Terrence Brown and
Don McHenry are 1-of-9 duos in the NCAA to have scored at least 140 points so far through games on Nov. 29. Meanwhile, Brown's 174 points so far this season ranks eighth-most in Division I.

Utah returns home for a less hectic month of games in December, playing in three-straight Saturday games starting with Cal Baptist on Dec. 6 inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. A familiar voice in Tony Parks will have the action alongside former Runnin' Utes assistant coach Joe Cravens on ESPN+ as Utah and Cal Baptist take the court together for the first time in program history.

LOOKING AHEAD
Mississippi State heads to Salt Lake City the following week on Saturday, Dec. 13, for an 8 p.m. (MST) tip-off inside the Delta Center to close out a "neutral-and-neutral" contract. The contest will serve as the third game of the day inside the Delta Center with the Runnin' Utes and Bulldogs squaring off on ESPNU as Roxy Bernstein and former Arizona Wildcat Corey Williams guide fans through the action.
