SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Ski Team head alpine coach
JJ Johnson announced on Monday that the program has signed Maisie Blyth as a midyear addition. Blyth, a native of Scotland, has raced for the Apex 2100 program and will be eligible to compete with Utah when it begins the season in January.
Blyth has raced throughout Central Europe with a focus on competitions in France and Italy. She was selected to represent her home nation during the 2025 FIS World Junior Championships, competing in slalom, giant slalom, super G and team combined at Tarvisio, Italy. In 2024, she placed fourth in GS during the French junior national championships.
She has totaled six podiums in FIS competitions over the last two full seasons, including a GS victory last year during an event at Puy-Saint-Vincent in France.
Blyth joins a program that has won four of the last five NCAA championships and 17 national titles all-time. Utah combined for seven alpine all-America awards at last year's NCAA Championships—tying for the most of any team in the country.
