PROVO, Utah –The University of Utah women's tennis team fell 4-0 to BYU Saturday afternoon.
Utah is now 6-8 overall on the season and sits at 1-3 in Big 12 play. DOUBLES Utah had a low start against BYU as the Cougars captured the doubles point. BYU picked up wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to clinch the advantage point.
SINGLES In singles, BYU picked up wins at the No. 4 spot, No. 3 and No. 1 spots to clinch the match 4-0. At the No. 1 spot, Emma Kamper battled in a tiebreak with Bobo Huang in the first set but fell 7-6 (5).
On court No. 3, Kaila Barksdale dropped her first set but battled into extra games in the second set but ultimately fell 7-5.
UP NEXT
The Utes will head to West Virginia and Cincinnati to continue Big 12 play. Utah's next home game will be March 27 against Kansas.
