Jayne has made 24 starts over his three seasons with Utah, picking up six podiums and three individual wins. He was a second-team All-American in both classic and freestyle during the 2025 season, helping Utah to its fourth NCAA Championship in the last five years.
This season, he has hit the podium in all three of Jayne's RMISA starts. He opened the year with a victory in the RMISA Invitational 10K classic, which was scored as part of the larger U.S. National Championships and put Jayne third on the U.S. podium for that race in Lake Placid, New York. Later in Lake Placid, Jayne was crowned the U.S. champion in the men's skate sprints, was top-five overall in the 20K freestyle mass start and placed fourth overall in the classic sprints.
Jayne was a 2025 All-RMISA First Team selection as well as the RMISA/NCAA West Regional champion in men's 7.5K classic a year ago. He came to Utah after spending the 2023 collegiate season at St. Scholastica where he was an NCAA Championships qualifier and the central region champion in the 20K classic.
