SEATTLE— The University of Utah women's tennis team took on No. 30 San Diego in a neutral matchup in Seattle, Washington. The Utes lost 4-3 against the Toreros making the Utes season record 6-3.

DOUBLES
In doubles action, the San Diego Toreros captured a win on court No. 2 to start off the match. Powering through, Utah's Emma Kamper and Emma Valletta defeated San Diego's Vilma Krebs Hyllested and Kristina Nordikyan, 7-5, on court No. 1.

The doubles point came down to court No. 3, as Utah's Dylan Lolofie and Andjelijia Markovic won 7-5 over San Diego's Charlotte Keitel and Maria Shmakova. Giving the Utes the edge heading into singles action.

SINGLES
In singles play, the Toreros picked up a quick win on court No. 6. However, Utah's Sara Akid kept the Utes momentum strong at the No. 4 spot with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over the Toreros' Ines Leon.

At the No. 1 spot, Utah's Kamper picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory over San Diego's Charlotte Keitel.

The Toreros powered through and won back-to-back matches on courts No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the victory.

UP NEXT
The Utes will start conference play next week with a trip to the Lonestar state. The Utes will face the Houston Cougars (Feb. 26) in Houston before traveling to Orlando, Fla. to face the UCF Knights on February 28.
