This Weekend's Fan Experience Rundown
- Parking is free for all Utah Baseball home games. Fans may park in Lot 40, Lot 9 or Lot 1. Click here for a parking map. Please note that game parking is not permitted in the neighborhoods South of America First Ballpark or in the lot directly in front of the Salt Lake Sports Complex. Fans can also ride UTA free with a valid game ticket; both the No. 9 and 17 bus routes have stops directly outside America First Ballpark and the TRAX Red Line is close by as well.
- Gates open one hour before first pitch. Read Know Before U Go for a full outline of ballpark policies and tips.
- Friday is MUSS Appreciation Night. University of Utah students are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Utes, as always with a section of the right field berm designated for student fans.
- Utah will hold a Community Service Drive on Saturday. Fans can donate non-perishable food items, as well as new and gently-used clothing. Items will support the Feed U Pantry on campus at the U as well as Volunteers of America and The Road Home.
- As with all Sunday home games, kids can come down on the field after the game and run the bases.
- A quick four-game home stand wraps up for the Utah baseball team this weekend as the Utes host Kansas State on Charlie Monfort Field at America First Ballpark.
- The Utes are off to a 7-2 start in their new home. Utah swept a four-game series against Grand Canyon to open the new yard and shut out GCU in the first three games. The homestand continued with a series victory to open Big 12 play against the Arizona Wildcats, with both teams scoring exactly 21 runs across the three games.
- Utah is coming off a midweek non-conference game versus rival BYU, where the Utes fell 6-5 despite a late push. Jake Long hit a 450-foot, two-run homer in the ninth inning and the Utes later put the winning run on base with one out. But two spectacular catches in the outfield brought the game to an end.
- Long comes into the Kansas State series riding a team-best 17-game hitting streak, with Cameron Gurney (15) and Daniel Arambula (14) following closely. The 17-game hitting streak is the longest hitting streak for a Utah player since 2019. Long's .360 batting average and .436 on-base percentage each place second on the team, following Gurney. He leads the Utes in RBIs, with 27 early in conference play.
- Gurney has been a key contributor to Utah's offense this season. The first baseman leads the team in all three slash categories (.381 / .490 / .571). On March 17 vs. Washington State, he crossed the 100-hit milestone for his career at Utah.
- Last weekend, Utah traveled to Cincinnati in a three-game series that wrapped up with a 13-11 victory on Sunday over the Bearcats. The Utes rallied in the ninth inning, scoring three runs to overcome an 11-10 deficit and secure the victory. Bradley Navarro tied the game with a clutch two-out double before Matt Flaharty's bloop single drove in the winning runs.
- The Utes' offense powered the victory verus the Bearcats with 14 hits, including a season-high seven doubles, while Gurney contributed a three-run homer and four RBIs. Despite Cincinnati's eight-run comeback to take the lead in the seventh inning, Ian Lenius and Kaden Soder shut the door on the mound in the ninth to seal the win.
- Following the series with the Wildcats, Utah will make the quick trip down to Orem and face Utah Valley next Tuesday, March 31. First pitch will be at 6 p.m. MT inside UCCU Ballpark.
