Utah Golf Wraps Up Day Two of Columbus Regional

Utes take 13th with one more day of play to go
NCAA COLUMBUS REGIONAL INFORMATION:
Dates: May 18-20
Location: OSU Golf Club- Scarlet Course | Columbus, Ohio
Par/Yardage: Par 71, 7,422 yards
COLUMBUS, Ohio—Utah Golf put a bow on day two of the Columbus Regional coming in 13th place after carding 19-over in round two of play for a 35-over team total.
Gabriel Palacios and Davis Johnson tied for the best day of play for the Utes, each recording 3-over 74 in round two.
Palacios' effort resulted in a nine-spot jump for a tie at 33 through day two, carding 7-over through two rounds of golf and making him the highest-ranked individual Ute.
Davis also shot up the individual leaderboard, moving 10 spots for a tie at 65 with a 13-over total.
Jack Jerge had the next best day for Utah posting 6-over 77 for an 11-over total and tie at 54, while Brandon Robison came in at 7-over 78 on the day for a 13-over total, tying with Davis for a piece of 65.
After having the best first round effort for the Utes, Sergio Jimenez struggled through round two recording 8-over 79 on day two. Despite the rough day, Jimenez is still the second-highest ranked Ute behind Palacios in the Columbus Regional with a 9-over total for a tie at 47.
Florida remains the only team in the Columbus Regional under par (7-under) for first place, followed by Memphis (9-over) in second, and Stanford (13-over) in third.
The Columbus Regional will conclude on Wednesday, May 20 starting at 7:30 a.m. ET/ 5:30 a.m. MT.

Sergio Jimenez- T47/ 8-over 79 (9-over total)
Jack Jerge- T54/ 6-over 77 (11-over total)

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted from May 18-20 to determine the 30 qualifying teams and six individuals not on those qualifying teams who will compete in the NCAA Finals from May 29 to June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Each day of the NCAA Regional round will consist of 18-holes.
