Junior running back totaled 239 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in win at Iowa State
IRVING, Texas — Utah junior running back Wayshawn Parker has been named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Parker turned in an impressive all-around performance in then-No. 15 ranked Utah's 31-17 road victory in the conference opener at Iowa State. His 174 rushing yards were the most by a Utah running back so far in 2026 and his 239 yards from scrimmage (65 receiving) were the most by a Ute since Britain Covey's 252 yards in the Rose Bowl at the end of the 2021 season.

Totaling three touchdowns to go with his 239 all-purpose yards last week, Parker has recorded at least three scores in three of Utah's first four games. Parker has totaled 328 yards on the ground with five touchdowns and 154 yards through the air with four trips to the end zone in the Utes' first four games.

A native of Richmond, Calif., Parker ranks second in the country and leads the conference with nine total touchdowns. He is 12th nationally in both overall rushing and receiving scores, while sitting 20th in the FBS in rush yards per carry (6.56).
