• Utah moved to 3-0 on the season with its 43-point win over the Eagles Friday night. The Utes open the season 3-0 for the second straight season and third time in past four seasons.
• Utah now leads the all-time series 2-0. The Utes defeated CSU in the first-ever meeting, 66-37, back in 2004.
• Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak pushed his all-time coaching record to 140-93 (.600) with the victory. He is now 98-73 (.573) all-time at Utah.
• Utah led 53-25 at the break, shooting .567 percent (17-of-30) from the field, .643 percent (9-of-14) from three-point range and .588 (10-of-17) from the charity stripe.
• Utah’s 53 points in the first half is a season-high. It is the first 50-point effort for the Utes in the first half since pouring in 52 points against College of Idaho last season.
• Coppin State was limited to just .269 percent (7-of-26) shooting from the field, which included a .375 percent (3-of-8) effort from three-point range.
• Coppin State’s 25 points at the break was a season-low for the Eagles. The previous low mark was 28 points against Valparaiso.
• Senior Lorenzo Bonam led all players at halftime with 17 points. He was 6-of-8 from the field, 2-of-2 from beyond the arc and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. His 17 points in the first half along matched the season-high points he registered this past Tuesday against Concordia.
• Utah finished the game shooting .484 percent (30-of-62) from the field, which included a .429 percent (12-of-28) effort from beyond the arc.
• The Utes tallied 22 assists on 30 made field goals. The 22 assists are a season-high and the team's first 20-assist effort since dishing out 22 assists against USC (3/10/16) in the Pac-12 Conference Tournament last season.
• Coppin State finished the game shooting .255 percent (14-of-55) from the field, .318 percent (7-of-22) from the three-point line and .615 (16-of-26) from the charity stripe.
• Utah had four players finish the game with double-digit scoring efforts, led by junior JoJo Zamora's 22 points. Bonam (19), sophomore Parker Van Dyke (15) and sophomore Jake Connor (11) were the other players in double figures.
• Connor set a new career-high with his 11 points on the night, shooting 4-of-5 from the floor, which included a 3-of-4 effort from downtown.
• Junior Tyler Rawson led the Utes with 12 rebounds on the night, while freshman Jayce Johnson chipped in with 10 boards. The Utes out-rebounded the Eagles 5 to 32 on the evening.
• Rawson also led the team with six assists. Bonam led the team defensively with a pair of blocked shots and three steals.
