• Utah moved to 4-0 on the season. It was Utah’s 32nd straight win over a non-conference opponent at home. It also marked Utah’s 12th straight win inside the Huntsman Center, dating back to last season.
• The Utes moved to 2-0 all-time against UCR. It was the first meeting since both teams met back on Nov. 21, 2014.
• Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak moved to 141-93 all-time in his coaching career. He is now one victory shy from career-win No. 100 with the Utes. He is 99-73 at Utah.
• Utah led 46-34 at the break. The Utes shot .475 percent (19-of-40) from the field, .308 percent (4-of-13) from downtown and .571 percent (4-of-7) from the free throw line.
• Senior Lorenzo Bonam led Utah in scoring at halftime for the third straight game. He had 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Bonam was tied for the team high at the break with six rebounds. Freshman Devon Daniels also had six boards in the first half.
• Junior Kyle Kuzma had 10 points at the break after making three of his last four shots in the half.
• Junior Tyler Rawson led the way with four assists and one steal in the first half.
• UCR was held without scoring a bucket in two different four-minute stretches in the first half.
• The Utes opened the second half with an 8-0 run. The Highlanders did not score its first bucket of the second half until the 16:30 mark.
• The Utes shot .552 percent (16-of-29) in second half, finishing the game shooting .507 percent (35-of-69) overall.
• Bonam registered his first career double-double, scoring a career-high 21 points and pulling down a career-high 10 rebounds. His previous high in points was a 20-point effort against Texas Tech last season, while his previous high in rebounds was seven (three times).
• Daniels posted a double-double in the game as well, pouring in 14 points and registering a team-high 11 boards.
• Kuzma added 18 points and freshman Jayce Johnson chipped in with a career-high 12 points to give Utah four players in double figures. Johnson added nine rebounds in the contest.
• Rawson and Daniels dished out a team-high five assists each. Rawson and Kuzma led the way with a pair of blocks and sophomore Parker Van Dyke had a team-high two steals.
