Spring Commencement Includes 72 Utah Student-Athletes from all 20 Sports

Seventy-two current and former Utah student-athletes are set to receive their degrees as part of the University of Utah's spring commencement on Thursday, April 30, recognizing both Spring and Summer 2020 graduates earning bachelor's and master's degrees. The University’s 151st general commencement will be held virtually on April 30 at 6:30 p.m. MT at utah.edu/live and on KUTV.com/watch.

Utah's student-athletes continue to perform at an exceptionally high level academically, producing a 94-percent figure—highest among all public institutions in the power five conferences—in the most recent NCAA Graduation Success Rate report, released in October 2019. The Fall 2019 cumulative GPA of Utah student-athletes was 3.23, following the school-record 3.25 cumulative GPA for 2018-19 school year. In addition, 45 Utes were named to the fall 2019 Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll and 38 were named to the winter Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll.
