Barbro Hatlevik returns to the team this season after three successful seasons with Utah's cross country squad as a fifth-year assistant. The Vagstranda, Norway, native transferred from the Lillehammer College in Norway to Utah and will bring to the team her leadership and insight to assist with the cross country team this season. She will assist with dry land training and technical instructions.
As a member of the Utah ski team, the two-time All-American helped lead Utah to its 2003 NCAA Championship run, finishing 10th in the 15-km classical and 20th in the 5-km freestyle. The Vagstranda, Norway native also took the bronze medal in the 5-km skate at the NCAAs in '03. Hatlevik posted a combine 18 top-15 finishes in the classical and freestyle events over the span of her collegiate career, while upholding a two-year Western Regional ranking through the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Skiing Association. She was also a two-time Academic All-American honoree.
Hatlevik is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology with expected graduation spring 2006.
