Biography

On Hoffman: Played in 48 career games at Utah with 23 starts between shortstop and second base.
 
2017: Played in 23 games with 14 starts (13 at short, one at second) … hit .240 with three doubles and a triple … five RBI … 11 walks … 14 runs scored … .397 on-base percentage … 2-for-5 with a double and run scored in first start of the season at shortstop vs. CSU Bakersfield (2/19) … 2-for-4 with two RBI, a double and two runs scored in start against Ohio State (2/23) … 2-for-3 with a run scored and a double to lead Utah at the plate against New Mexico State (3/11) … RBI triple against Utah Valley (3/22) … RBI single in 4-0 win over Stanford (3/25) … hit walk-off single as a pinch hitter against Arizona State (5/28).
 
2016: Played in 20 games making seven starts at shortstop … .185 batting average … three doubles … recorded his first career hit in a pinch-hit appearance against Kansas with a double (2/26) … had his best career outing against BYU (5/17) in a start at short, going 2-for-3 with an RBI, two doubles, two runs and had several ‘web gems’ on defense.
