Ryan Blakney joined the Utah staff in 2019 as an offensive analyst, making the move from Vanderbilt where he worked the previous four seasons with Utes offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig. He assisted Ludwig and the Commodores’ offensive staff in a quality control position after previously working under Ludwig at Wisconsin in 2014.
    A native of San Diego, Blakney worked in an offensive quality control role at San Diego State in 2013 after serving as a student assistant at the school from 2011-12. His other experience includes an assistant coaching role at Union Mine (Calif.) H.S. from 2008-10.
    Blakney graduated from San Diego State in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in physical education. He and his wife Jennifer reside in South Jordan.
