Bio
UTAH: Onetime walk-on earned a scholarship and developed into one of the team's best linebackers until a foot injury derailed his career ... played in every game as a true freshman in 2006, followed by a church mission ...returned to the team in 2009 and again played in every game ... earned four letters.
2011-Played in the first eight games before reinjuring his foot in what would be a season-ending injury against Oregon State ... had 19 tackles (1.0 TFL) and an interception prior to the injury.
2010-Pegged as a starter in the preseason, he spent most of the year on the disabled list with a foot injury ... played in two games (TCU and Notre Dame) ... started against Notre Dame when he recorded three of his four total tackles.
2009-Played in 13 games, starting against Air Force ... 20 total tackles included a season-high nine against Air Force ... two solo tackles and a pass breakup against New Mexico ... Academic All-MWC.
2006-Played in all 13 games, starting the last seven games at rover linebacker ... got his first start against New Mexico when the two players ahead of him were injured and then never relinquished the position ... 55 tackles ranked fifth on the team ... returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown against UNLV ... 4.5 tackles for loss.
2005-Redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Twice named all-league at Grandview High (Colo.) ... a two-time defensive MVP ... team captain as a senior ... also lettered in baseball ... baseball team won conference in 2004 ... academic all-state.
