• AVCA Under Armour Honorable Mention All-American
• PrepVolleyball.com Senior Ace Top 150 selection
• 1st-Team all-state selection during sophomore and junior seasons
• 1st-Team all-region each of the last two seasons
• Honorable mention all-state and 2nd-team all-region as a freshman
• Owns school record for kills in a match with 41 against undefeated Fremont High School on Oct. 8, 2013
• Named Layton High School's Best Offensive Player in 2013
• Nominated as a candidate for Utah's 2013 Gatorade Player of the Year
• Had 403 kills, 37 solo blocks, 28 block assists, 40 digs and 31 aces in 2012 despite missing second half of season after sustaining injury
• Her 57 aces during her sophomre season ranked fifth in the state

• Daughter of Elizabeth and Fotu Katoa, who both graduated from BYU
• Married to Rhett Nelson, who played baseball at BYU

• Enjoys Polynesian dancing, reading, swimming, hiking and music
• Graduated with honors
• Majoring in communications with an emphasis in personal relations, marketing and advertising
• Intends to also receive her master's degree in sports management.
