LAS CRUCES, N.M.- The University of Utah softball team concluded six games in three days falling to No. 42 Oregon State, 3-2 today at the Troy Cox classic. The Utes earned a share of fourth place, finishing the tournament at 3-3. Oregon State posted a three-run third inning to stake an early lead and never relinquished it. Lisa Hashimoto went two for three on the day, as she and Michele Larsen drove in a run each during the Utes fifth inning, but Utah stranded the game-tying run in the final frame.
