TEMPE, Ariz. -The University of Utah softball team earned its second split of ranked teams in two days at the Fiesta Bowl Tournament, downing #19 Alabama 2-1, and falling to #3 UCLA 8-0 today. Sarah Farnworth pitched a masterful four-hitter in the upset of Alabama, as Amberly Johnson and Nicole Wilkinson drove in a run each for the 2-1 victory. The win was the Utes second of a ranked team in as many days, as they drubbed #21 Florida State, 5-2, yesterday. The Bruins proved to much for Utah, as the third-ranked team in the nation posted eight runs on 10 hits.
Utah concludes the Fiesta Bowl Tournament tomorrow against its first unranked opponent of the season, Maryland, at 10:00 a.m.
