SALT LAKE CITY - University of Utah softball player Sandy Rhea was named to the Louisville Slugger NFCA All-America second team on Wednesday. Rhea, a senior first baseman/outfielder from South Jordan, Utah, was named to the All-America team for the second time after making the first team in 1997. Last week, she earned first-team all-West Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for the third-consecutive year. She also earned first-team all-WAC honors for a third time this season. Rhea ranked 18th in the nation in stolen bases this season with 34 in 35 attempts. She is eighth all-time in the NCAA in career-stolen bases with 130. Rhea led the WAC in stolen bases and was also eighth in hitting (.372), fifth in runs (49), sixth in doubles (11) and sixth in hits (67).
