Women's Tennis Take A Week Off

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team will have a well needed bye week, before revving up action again in two weeks. The Utes are on the tail end of a four-match losing streak. The news doesn't get any better for the Utes, as sophomore Irini Kotoglou will undergo analysis to see if she tore an ACL. Utah is already depleted by two other injuries.
Megan Payne-Dorny earned an impressive win over the No. 44 player, Ana Friganovic of New Mexico on Friday.
It was the first match of ranked opponents on the weekend, as she was tripped up by No. 23 Katarzyna Malec of UNLV.
Freshman Cassie Kasteler continues to play well as she earned a split on the weekend.
Doubles continues to be a problem for the Utes, as they went 1-5 on the weekend in tandem matches.

Utah takes on former WAC opponent Southern Methodist February 26 at 5:00 p.m. at the Eccles Tennis center.
