Utah (3-4) takes on former Western Athletic Conference opponent Southern Methodist Sat., Feb. 26, at 5:00 p.m. at the Eccles Tennis center.
About the Utes:
The Utes are on the tail end of a four-match losing streak. The news doesn't get any better for the Utes, as sophomore Irini Kotoglou will undergo analysis for an injured knee sustained in the New Mexico match. Utah is already depleted by injuries to sophomore Hillaree Hawkins (leg) and junior Heidi Thomas (foot).
LAST MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Megan Payne-Dorny earned an impressive win over the No. 44 player, Ana Friganovic of New Mexico on Friday. It was the first match of ranked opponents on the weekend, as she was tripped up by No. 23 Katarzyna Malec of UNLV. Freshman Cassie Kasteler continues to play well as she earned a split on the weekend.
Doubles continues to be a problem for the Utes, as they went 1-5 on the weekend in tandem matches.
