THIS WEEK:
The women's tennis team hopes to continue its winning streak against the Wildcats of Weber State. This match will be held Friday, Jan. 25 at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center. The match begins at 5:00 p.m.
THE UTES:
Have successfully competed in their first two matches of the season. The Utes are 1-0 in the MWC and 2-0 overall. In the match up against Air Force, Ellen Svennson overcame Laura Nigro, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6, to decide the tie breaker and finalize the victory. In the Utes bout with Utah State, senior Irini Kotoglou defeated Caroline Pollock, 6-3, 6-1. Sheri Esrock also performed well as she defeated Richelle Ferguson, 6-3, 6-0.
COMING UP:
The Utes will hit the road to take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Feb. 2 at 1:00 p.m. in Lafayette, Ind. This will be Utah's first road match of the season.

"These two wins have given us a lot of confidence. The Air Force win especially because it was a conference victory. Weber State is a very good team. We competed against them prior to the season and are excited to face them again."
