SALT LAKE CITY - This Week: The University of Utah women's tennis team (3-2) will travel to Kansas this weekend for two mathces against Big Twelve Conference schools. The first will be against Kansas State (3-0) in Manhattan, Kan., with a scheduled 1:30 p.m. (CST) start on Saturday, Feb. 16. The next day the Utes will travel to Lawrence, Kan., to face the Kansas Jayhawks, now 2-0 on the year.
Utes To Watch: Freshman Maria Svensson holds a 7-2 overall record on the season, and is 3-1 in the dual format matches. She and doubles partner Allison Hansen are also 3-1 on the season.
Last Action: The Utah women last competed in Provo against Brigham Young University in the Mountain West Conference opener for both schools. The Utes were toppled 6-1, with the only point of the day coming from Ellen Svensson's victory over Olga Boulytcheva 6-2, 6-3 in the three spot.
