Tallahassee, Fla.--Utah continued to struggle offensively on Saturday afternoon at the Seminole Invitational Tournament as it fell to No. 18 Michigan, 1-0. The loss puts the Utes at 6-11 on the season and moves MIchigan to 9-6. Utah wraps up regular play later today against Providence College and begins bracket play tomorrow.
It was the same story for Utah as it left seven runners on base. Utah outhit Michigan 4-3, but the Wolverines used a Ute error, two groundouts and a single to score the only run of the game in the fourth inning. Despite allowing just three hits and no earned runs, pitcher Heather Bowlin gets the loss for the Utes to fall to 2-5 on the year.
Freshman Ivette Hernandez knocked two hits, while Masie Ota and Glennis Donnelly had one apiece in the loss.
