Utah Softball Shutout By San Diego State

San Diego, Calif.--The Utes failed to get anything going offensively, as they were shutout by San Diego State, 3-0, in game one of a twin bill on Saturday. The Aztecs improved their perfect league record to 8-0, 32-14 overall, while Utah falls to 5-4 in league play, 16-20 overall.
Jen Pursell gets the loss for Utah to fall to 8-12 on the year. Masie Ota and Ivette Hernandez were the only Utes to connect for a hit against current Mountain West Pitcher of the Week Celena Velasquez. Velasquez improves to 12-4 this season after throwing the shutout victory.
