Recap | Final Stats | Notes
Utah Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
On comparing tonight's game to the loss at Colorado: "Probably two different styles of games. One, we have to try harder to get a body on people and box out. When you can handle everything you can control, you feel good about things; but when you don't do things like that--like giving up 18 offensive rebounds at Colorado--those are the things."
"We came back and I thought gave a pretty good effort tonight. We were really tight though. It's a fine line from when you are really trying too hard, and turn it over 13 times the first half because you're so tight to try to do something for the team to be successful, sometimes you get to the point where you're trying to hard."
Southern Utah Head Coach Bill Evans
"I think we played well early on, but they (Utah) may have worn us down or just turned it up a notch defensively. We made a lot of defensive mistakes against Shaun Green. The boys new he could shoot, but they weren't ready for him. We also did some good things, but we still didn't execute offensively and missed a lot of good shots because of it. I am a little disappointed that they didn't carry out certain assignments."
Utah Forward Shaun Green
On making four three-pointers: "I got the first one to go so, then my confidence started going and my teammates got me good passes at the right moments, and I shot the ball and it went in for me. All the coaches have told me that if I have an open shot, then I have the green light to shoot it. But if I miss a couple then they want me to go inside a little bit more."
Utah Center Chris Jackson
On tonight's performance compared to the loss at Colorado: "I think we came out so cold for a stretch there at Colorado that a couple of the guys started dropping their heads and as a team we kind of fell apart. Tonight it was nice to be at home to get things turned around and get everyone on the same page."
