THIS WEEK: The University of Utah women's tennis team will spend spring break competing in Florida. The Utes play Jacksonville on Tuesday Mar. 15, Stetson on Wednesday, Mar.16 and Miami of Ohio on Thursday, Mar. 17.
REVIEWING LAST WEEK: Utah suffered a 7-0 loss to in-state rival No. 24 BYU on Friday, Mar. 11. With the loss, the Utes fall to 8-6 on the season.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: The Jacksonville Dolphins and the Stetson Hatters are part of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Jacksonville is 4-6 on the season with a 1-2 conference mark and Stetson has nine wins and three losses this season and a perfect 2-0 conference record.
Miami of Ohio is in the Mid-American Conference and has a 6-3 record.
QUOTING HEAD COACH Megan Dorny: "Next week in Florida, we will begin our outdoor season. Hopefully our team will make the adjustment to sea level and outdoor play smoothly, and we will have some competitive matches against Jacksonville, Stetson, and Miami, OH. We hope this trip prepares our team well for the rest of our outdoor season and conference competition, and we hope we come away with some great wins as well."
