The Opposition
In the latest rankings released by the ITA [March 13], the BYU Cougars were ranked No. 31. Heading into the competition against the Utes, BYU has an 8-5 overall record. The team is 4-5 in home matches and 4-0 on the road. The lady Cougs were last seen playing, then ranked No. 2, the University of Notre Dame for a 2-5 loss. BYU's squad is led by junior Lauren Jones.

The University of Utah women's tennis team is currently 8-4 for the season. In home matches, the Utes maintain a 5-2 record, and are 3-2 in away matches. No. 114 Elizabeth Ferris led the Utes in a win over UTEP (6-1) and a 7-0 domination over New Mexico State University.
