The Utes will be competing against UTEP on Saturday in El Paso, Texas and New Mexico State in Las Cruces, N.M. on Sunday.
The Opposition
The Utes will take on the UTEP Miners on Saturday in El Paso, Texas at 5:00 p.m. CST. The Miners were last seen paying against the University of Texas at San Antonio. They lost the match 3-4 to nudge their season record to 3-6.
On Sunday, the Utes will battle with the New Mexico State Aggies, with a 10:00 a.m. match start. The team is currently 6-7 for the season after a recent loss to No. 55 SMU (7-0).
Ute Notes
The Utes are fresh off of a big 4-3 win over Rice University. No. 114 Elizabeth Ferris won her match over Julie Chao 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1 slot. Emily Kwok won her match at the No. 2 slot 7-5, 6-1 over Christine Dao. Cinthia Saucedo clinched the victory for the Utes against the Owls, winning her match 7-6 (10-8), 6-1 over Emily Braid at the No. 6 slot.
