SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team had seven student-athletes on the Mountain West Conference Spring Academic All-Conference Team.
Karine Bourdages (Sophomore, Biology), Jessica Carter (Freshman, Undeclared), Emily Kwok (Junior, Sociology), Andrea Maughan (Freshman, Exercise and Sport Science), Cheyenne Reveche (Junior, Psychology), Cinthia Saucedo (Senior, Exercise and Sport Science) and Leigh Walsh (Sophomore, Exercise and Sport Science) were all recognized by the conference.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-Mountain West Conference team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
In all, Utah had 83 student-athletes recognized on the Spring Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. The spring team included baseball, softball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's golf, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving and women's track and field.
In addition, McCaye Badger, Karine Bourdages, Jessica Carter, Andrea Maughan, Cinthia Saucedo and Jessica Watts were MWC Scholar Athletes. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team.
