LAS VEGAS - Despite a late UNLV rally, the Utah softball team earned its second straight Mountain West Conference win with a 4-3 victory over the Rebels on Friday, April 11, in Las Vegas.
Utah (21-19, 4-3 MWC) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning as Devina Quintero homered to center field. A second home run sparked a three-run third inning, as Kara Foster hit a two-run home run to center field for two runs. After the home run Quintero doubled down the left field line, scoring with Kristie Keller's single up the middle, giving the Utes a 4-0 lead.
