Eight Selected to Academic All-MWC Team

SALT LAKE CITY - Academic all-conference honors were conferred on 88 University of Utah student-athletes today by the Mountain West Conference office, eight from the softball team. The latest MWC accolades recognize athletes who competed during the spring semester.
Laura Dahlberg, Sharee Fonoti, Staci Hemingway, Andrea Hoffman, Kristie Keller, Kelly Matthews, Bonnie Muir and Brittany Parker represented the softball team.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
Utah saw 10 athletes turn in cumulative grade-point averages over 3.80.
