SALT LAKE CITY- The No. 51-ranked University of Utah women's tennis team (4-4) heads to the San Diego Dual Tournament, hosted by the George E. Barnes Tennis Center, this week.
"We are very excited to be playing outdoors in this great weather," said head coach Mat Iandolo. "We are looking forward to a very good week here."
The Utes will take on the New Mexico State Aggies (5-5) Wednesday March 18 at 12:30 p.m. PT. Thursday's opponent will be the winner of the Texas Tech (4-7) - Northern Arizona (6-6) match up. The Utes final match will be played Friday, March 20, against a yet to be determined opponent.
Utah is coming off a two week break from competing, before which they defeated Nevada, 5-2. New Mexico State is coming off a 4-3 loss Saturday to North Texas.
The last dual match meeting between the Utes and the Aggies, in the spring of 2007, ended in a 7-0 Utah sweep.
