Familiar territory: Utah has already played at both SDSU Softball Stadium and Eller Media Stadium this year in early-season tournament action. The Utes went 1-2 against Oregon, Santa Clara and No. 3 UCLA at SDSU Softball Stadium during the San Diego Classic. Utah took a 4-3 win over UC Davis on Feb. 15 at the Louisville Slugger Classic at Eller Media Stadium.

Twelve different Utes have notched round-trippers this year, led by Kara Foster (Derby, Kan.) with 16 home runs. The Utes cranked five home runs in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader at SUU, which fell one round-tripper shy of tying the school single-game record as Utah hit six homers against St. Mary's on March 31, 2007.
Boardman swings away: Senior right fielder Angie Boardman (Spokane, Wash.) drove in a team-high seven runs in four games last week and was 4-for-14 at the plate. Boardman went 5-for-7 Wednesday at SUU with two home runs, five runs batted in and four runs scored.

Foster went 4-for-7 on the day and scored two runs while drawing a walk. She led off the second game of Utah's doubleheader at Southern Utah with her 51st career home run, her 16th of the season, to help the Utes pick up three runs in the first frame of the second game. For the week, Foster had eight hits in 15 at-bats and totaled 1.133 slugging and .562 on-base percentages. She hit three doubles, two home runs, had two RBI and stole a base.
