No. 39 Utes Head to Boise State...
The 39th-ranked University of Utah women's tennis team (6-3) faces off against regional rival Boise State (5-3) this weekend in Boise, Idaho.
"It is always a challenge playing Boise State and we are looking forward to that challenge," said head coach Mat Iandolo.
The Utes and the Broncos take the court at March 3, at noon MT, in Boise, Idaho.

The Broncos suffered a pair of road losses this past weekend in Malibu, Calif., dropping a 7-0 decision to 30th-ranked Pepperdine, before falling to 21st-ranked Arizona State 6-1.
Last Year against the Broncos...
Last year Utah captured a 5-2 upset over 38th-ranked Boise State in Salt Lake City at the Eccles Tennis Center. Sophomore Sarah Pham captured the match-clinching point for the Utes from the No. 4 singles spot. Also notching singles wins for Utah were senior Anastasia Putilina, sophomore Lucia Kovarcikova, junior Paige Miles and former Ute Evgenia Kryuchkova.
Last Weekend Against the Rebels, the Red Raiders and the 49ers...
Against No. 36 UNLV...
The Utes upset the 36th-ranked Rebels 4-3, last Friday in Las Vegas. After dropping the doubles point, the Utes went 4-2 in singles for the win. Putilina, ranked No. 69, captured the match-clinching point for Utah from the No. 1 singles spot by defeating Aleksandra Josifoska 6-4, 7-6.
In singles action, freshman Danielle Flores defeated Manon de Lanlay at the No. 4 position 6-4, 6-3, to give the Utes their first point. Freshman Natasha Smith evened up the score at 2-2 by besting Ella Bourchier 6-2, 7-6, at the No. 6 position. Kovarcikova then topped Anett Ferenczi-Bako 7-6, 6-4, at the No. 5 spot, setting up Putilina to clinch the match.
Against No. 32 Texas Tech...
The Utes notched their second upset of the weekend by topping 32nd-ranked Texas Tech 4-3, last Saturday in Las Vegas. After dropping the doubles point, Utah won four of six singles matches for the win over the Red Raiders. Kovarcikova earned the match-clinching point for Utah by defeating Kenna Kilgo 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, at the No. 5 singles spot.
In singles play, 69th-ranked Putilina bested Elizabeth Ullathorne 6-2, 7-6, at the No.1 spot, while sophomore Callie Craig topped Rashmi Teltumbde 7-6, 6-3, at the No. 3 position and Flores downed Caroline Stearck at the No. 4 spot 6-3, 6-1. Kovarcikova then earned the match-clinching point for the Utes from the No. 5 position.
Against No. 45 Long Beach State...
The Utes dropped a 5-2 decision to 45th-ranked Long Beach State Sunday, in Las Vegas. Utah was competing without its No. 1 singles player and senior leader Putilina in the loss. Flores and Kovarcikova earned the Utes' two points by netting singles wins. Flores topped Laura Bernard 4-6, 7-6, 10-6, at the No. 3 singles spot, while Kovarcikova defeated Klaudia Malenovska 7-5, 6-2, at the No. 4 position.
Winning Streaks...
Putilina, ranked No. 69, Flores and Kovarcikova are all on seven-match singles streaks. Putilina and Flores are also both undefeated in dual-match singles play. Utah saw its six-match winning streak snapped Sunday by #45 Long Beach State.
Pham joins Putilina in the ITA Singles Rankings...
Sophomore Sarah Pham moved into the national singles rankings at No. 104 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's poll released Thursday, Feb. 16. It marks the first national ranking of her collegiate career.
"I couldn't be more pleased that Sarah has made her debut in the national rankings," Iandolo stated. "I've always thought that she has what it takes to be a top-100 ranked player and she is on her way there."
Senior Anastasia Putilina earned a singles ranking of No. 69 in the most recent ITA poll.
