SALT LAKE CITY - The lights at Ute Softball Stadium were tested for the first time and night games on campus are now a reality.
The stadium is scheduled for a December 2012 completion date and will begin hosting games in the spring of 2013 and is located north of the McCarthey Family Track and Field.
The $4.5 million dollar project will feature 500 chair seats, a press box, lights, an athletic training room and outdoor batting cages. An indoor hitting and pitching facility will be located adjacent to the competition field.
