SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah softball team recently got a chance to see and walk on its new home, Ute Softball Stadium.
The stadium is scheduled for a December 2012 completion date and will begin hosting games in the spring of 2013 and is located north of the McCarthey Family Track and Field.
The $4.5 million dollar project will feature 500 chair seats, a press box, lights, an athletic training room and outdoor batting cages. An indoor hitting and pitching facility will be located adjacent to the competition field.
