Sophomore Sarah Richter and freshman Luisa da Rosa started the morning strong for the Utes with a 8-2 win over Kassidy Jump and Leighann Sahagun at No. 2 doubles.
Junior Tereza Bekerova and senior Paige Miles secured the doubles point, tallying an 8-7 victory over Desirae Krawczyk and Alexandra Osborne in the first match.
The No. 3 match was called with seniors Sarah Pham and Callie Craig down 7-4.
ASU quickly evened the match score (1-1) in singles play as Sahagun did away with Richter at the fourth spot, 6-1, 6-2.
Miles boosted the Utes into the lead once again (2-1) with a win at No. 5 over Ebony Panoho, 6-4, 6-4.
The Sun Devils countered, winning the next three straight to claim the overall victory.
Krawczyk topped Pham at No. 2 (6-4, 6-4) as Gussie O'Sullivan took down da Rosa at the six spot (6-1, 6-3).
After falling in the first set, Bekerova bounced back to win the second, forcing a third set. Stephanie Vlad eventually won the match to claim the secure the Sun Devil victory (6-2, 3-6, 6-3).
The No. 3 match was called in the third set with ASU in the lead.
